about

When I’m in my studio creating, I feel transported into an altered state. Questions become invitations, and answers arrive through an inner dialogue that deeply relaxes me. I move from a place of having enough and being enough, trusting each choice as it comes.

My studio is filled with treasures — exciting reference books and magazines, vintage fabrics, trims, threads, beads and a wild assortment of embellishments gathered from near and far. Thrift store finds, flea market scores, online temptations, and gifts from dear friends form an eclectic palette I cherish. My passion ignites when disparate elements come together to express something new. I like to begin with the belief that I already have everything I need. And when a specific vision calls for something more, I often find it on my next hunt. I have many stories of discovering the exact element needed to complete a piece — it feels remarkably magical every time.

My work grows from an interplay of imagination awakened by color, texture, play, technique, humor, and the quiet way materials speak to one another.

I love to employ hand embroidery and free‑motion machine stitching in all my pieces. Painting and stenciling on fabric expand my options when I’m searching for something specific. Eco‑bundle dyeing and cyanotype printing are two new techniques I’m exploring, each offering deeply immersive journeys. I look forward to how their results will guide my creative direction.
